yes, we are alike. I do notice errors and weaknesses in writing. But I am glad to say that I often read books and articles with no noticeable errors. I simply enjoy them, without seeing them as topics of future blog posts!

I absolutely agree about your comment that lead scoring has to be accompanied with a strong data validation process.

One obvious thing that we could do, especially for email validation, is to have a different two step validation process for emails i.e. to have the download link (white paper, demo etc.) be sent to a lead's email address. I know it is now out of fashion to do it but a lead that is not willing to give their real email id (the most non obtrusive form of marketing communication) is not a lead at all.

So although we may potentially decrease the lead count in the short term (or even long term) we are encouraging good behavior from customers and marketers.
